GOALKEEPER DIRECTOR, KIRBY VALLE

Kirby joined Barca Academy Columbus in 2020 from Indy Premier SC (Indianapolis, IN), having held their Director of Goalkeeping position since the club’s inception in 2012, growing the program from 6 goalkeepers to over 175 in a matter of 7 years.

  • Holder of an Advanced National, National D and Level 1, 2 and 3 Goalkeeper Diplomas, Kirby was one of the first female Directors in Indiana Soccer history.
  • During her time with Indy Premier she had the pleasure of developing youth players who continued their playing career at 12 different Division I colleges and universities, as well as 5 goalkeepers with the US Youth National teams.

As a player:

  • She was a part of the USL Premier Development League.
  • She earned a college scholarship to play at The University of Tennessee, where she and her teammates earned back to back SEC Triple Crown honors, winning regular season play for both the East and the West conferences of the SEC and the SEC Tournament. While at Tennessee she also earned a spot on the coveted SEC Goodworks Team.
  • Kirby transferred to Butler University to finish her playing career where she graduated in 2008 with a Media Arts major and double minor in Journalism and Communications.
